Shemwell Robert "Bob" Shemwell, FAIA, LEED AP

Bob is a leading practitioner of sustainable design whose poetic work connects people to the land, their heritage and each other. He brings a systemic, environmental approach to the creation of beautiful public places of national importance.

His commitment to sustainable practice, as demonstrated through his projects, has catapulted Bob to national prominence in the Green Building movement. He advocates that good design and sustainability go hand-in-hand and spoken on this topic at dozens of regional, national and international conferences. He was an initial member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has served in their National Education Committee and as Program Chair for the Greenbuild International Conference and Exposition.

Bob was a founding member and board member for Solar San Antonio, U.S. Green Building Council Central Texas – Balcones Chapter, San Antonio Clean Technology Forum and Tejas Verde. He has led an effort with the North American Development Bank to deliver sustainable water infrastructure to underserved communities along the U.S. / Mexico Border.

 

Andrews James Andrews, RIBA, AIA Int'l Assoc., LEED AP

James has over 20 years of experience in planning and project management of complex sustainable projects. James’ commitment to the practice of architecture, sustainability and the environment is evidenced by his involvement in a number of organizational initiatives. By invitation of the Mayor of San Antonio, James recently served on the Advisory Committee for the Mayor’s Task Force on Sustainable Design. He has also served as the Chair for the AIA San Antonio Committee on The Environment (COTE); Director of the Board for AIA San Antonio; Founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council Central Texas – Balcones Chapter, Regional Representative and past Chairman of the USGBC Central Texas – Balcones Chapter. James was also the Chair of the Leadership San Antonio class for Infrastructure and Sustainability.  He is currently serving as the Chair for the Advisory Council for the USGBC Central Texas – Balcones Chapter.

Ramon has over 15 years of public sector consulting experience providing professional services including Project Management, Strategic Planning, Performance Measurement, Business Process Reengineering, Resource Management, and Acquisition Solutions.  Previously, Ramon was Vice President in charge of the Organization and Strategy Practice for a Small Business Administration 8(a) certified firm in San Antonio, as well as a Partner for a Big Five accounting and consulting firm in Washington, DC, focused on the public sector.  After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wyoming in
Ramon is a recognized industry expert on Government Acquisition, Business Transformation, Financial Management and Privatization and Outsourcing.  He is frequently asked to speak in various forums sponsored by organizations, such as the Potomac Forum, The Performance Institute, George Washington University, the Association of Defense Communities and the American Society of Military Comptrollers.
